There are clear compliance, compatibility, and safety requirements for installing inner tubes on electric bicycles; they cannot be arbitrarily changed or installed.

First, you must confirm the vehicle model compatibility. Different electric bicycle models have different wheel diameters and widths, such as the common 14-inch, 16-inch, and 18-inch wheel sets. The corresponding inner tube size must match, and it must also correspond to the width of the outer tire. For example, if the outer tire is marked 3.0-10, you need to choose an inner tube of the same specification. Incompatible sizes can lead to inner tube wrinkles, premature wear, or even a blowout.

1. Compliance Requirements: Modifying inner tubes cannot violate local non-motorized vehicle management regulations. Some regions require that the electric bicycle tire specifications must be consistent with the factory registration parameters. Unauthorized replacement with non-compliant inner tubes may affect the vehicle's annual inspection and may be considered illegal modification.

2. Safety Requirements: You must use a standard inner tube that meets national standards. Butyl rubber inner tubes are preferred because they have better airtightness, stronger high-temperature resistance, and are more durable than ordinary rubber inner tubes. Before installation, carefully inspect the inside of the tire and remove sharp objects such as gravel and nails to avoid directly puncturing the new inner tube. At the same time, check the rim for deformation or burrs, and smooth it before installation to prevent the inner tube from being scratched and damaged.
