The shelf life of a motorcycle inner tube is generally around 3 years. Even if the mileage is less than 60,000 kilometers, it is recommended to have it inspected or replaced after 3 years of use. If left unused for extended periods, exposed to sunlight, or in a humid environment, the rubber is prone to aging, developing cracks or bulges, requiring earlier replacement.

The actual lifespan of an inner tube varies depending on the model and usage conditions:

Standard motorcycles: Generally no more than 3 years; replacement is recommended after 60,000 kilometers.

Underbone motorcycles: With high-quality inner tubes and regular maintenance, the lifespan can be extended to 5 to 7 years.

Material Influence: Synthetic rubber inner tubes are heat-resistant and aging-resistant, making them more suitable for long-distance riding in high temperatures; natural rubber has better elasticity and is suitable for paved urban roads.

In addition, tires should be replaced promptly in the following situations:

Tread depth less than 1.6 mm; Tire repaired more than 3 times; Signs of aging such as cracks, bulges, or hardened rubber appear; Long-term abnormal tire pressure (too high or too low). Regularly checking tire pressure, cleaning foreign objects from the tire tread, and avoiding mixing tires of different sizes can effectively extend the life of the inner tube and ensure riding safety.
